Leadership Circle, Contemporary Support Council, and Benefactor level donors in the Patrons Circle are invited to join Claudia Schmuckli, curator in charge of contemporary arts and programming, and Christina Hellmich, curator in charge of Africa, Oceania and the Americas and the Jolika Collection of New Guinea Art, on an adventure to the most populous city and one of the most important cultural centers in North America. An encyclopedic locale, it is the perfect place to explore the history of the Spanish colonial empire and the emerging, vibrant contemporary art scene. The itinerary will include curator-led tours of national museums; a day trip to Puebla; visits to stunning private collections and the studios of prominent artists such as Damian Ortega, Eduardo Terrazas, Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernandez; and much more.
