Donor Opening Reception: "Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs”

Leadership Circle, Patrons Circle, Contemporary Support Council, and exhibition sponsors are invited to the opening celebration of Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs.
At 6:30 pm, guests will enjoy a behind-the-scenes presentation with Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egyptian archaeologist, Egyptologist, and former minister of antiquities.
From 7 to 9 pm, donors will preview the exhibition before it opens to the public, plus partake in a cocktail reception with light bites and entertainment. Donors will also be able to see Faith Ringgold: American People.
Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs explores the life and accomplishments of the eminent military officer who became king of Egypt as Ramses II, one of the most remarkable and celebrated rulers in history. The opulence of ancient Egyptian civilization and the beauty of its precious treasures are revealed in the dazzling objects on view.
